At 6'7 167 pounds Wilkins is an athletic lanky wing that is still growing into his frame, but fosters explosive offensive potential. Wilkins currently plays for Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia. His final decision came between Georgia and Virginia. The son of Bulldog and NBA great Dominique Wilkins, Jacob is ranked 40th nationwide by 247sports Composite Index. Wilkins becomes the inaugural member of Georgia's 2025 recruiting class and joins 2024 5 star Asa Newell as the second blue chip recruit to commit to Georgia in the last week. Wilkins's offer list includes Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, Cincinnati, and Indiana. In addition to his father Jacob's uncle Gerald Wilkins and cousin Damien Wilkins also had stints in the NBA.
